Constantine the Philosopher
University in Nitra (UKF) is a public medium sized university established in 1992 as
the University of Education in Nitra which became a successor of Pedagogic Institute (founded in 1959) and
Faculty of Education. Currently it has 5 faculties (Faculty of Education, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Natural
Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences and Health Care, Faculty of Central European Studies) with about 10 000
students and 600 staff, offering bachelor's, master's and PhD study programs in education, humanities, and
social and health sciences, natural sciences. The University degree system has fully incorporated principles of
the Bologna declaration and ECTS. The University has more than 60-year experience with training future primary
and secondary school teachers in pedagogy and subject methodologies and is also involved in continuous
professional development of teachers. UKF puts much emphasis on international co-operation in all fields of
study and research. Bilateral Agreements of Academic Cooperation define framework and basis for creative
cooperation of UKF departments with institutions abroad in the field of common research work, exchange of
students and staff, exchange of scientific works, common publishing and scientific activities, events or
curricula development.

The J. Selye University (JSU) is the only independent university
in Slovakia with Hungarian language of instruction. The University commenced its activities in the first academic
year starting in September 2004 and since then it offers studies at three faculties: Faculty of Education, Faculty
of Economics and Informatics, and Faculty of Reformed Theology. In
the area of sciences and research the university employees are involved in a number of important scientific and
research grants. From its establishment, the J. Selye University has signed and entered into cooperation
agreements
or general contracts with over 24 higher education institutions at home and abroad. The international relations
are
based on cooperation agreements and general contracts with foreign partners. The aim of the Faculty of Education
of
J. Selye University is to enhance the professional level of educational work in kindergartens, primary and
secondary
schools in the Slovak Republic, mainly in schools with Hungarian language of instruction. The Faculty has a wide
range of expertise in a diverse, yet overlapping set of disciplines. It employs a lot of professional scholars and
professors due to which it was allowed to open its doctoral study programs in Hungarian Language and Literature
and Methodology of Teaching History.

The University of Ostrava (OSU) is a public
research university educating nearly 9,000 students at six faculties:
Faculty of Science, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Social Studies, and

The University of Economics and Business in
Prague (VSE) was founded in 1953. It is the biggest public university
in the field of economics and business in the Czech Republic internationally recognized the best “business
schools” in Central and Eastern Europe. VSE has six faculties offering applicants a broad spectrum of bachelor,
master, PhD and MBA study programs. The mission of the University of Economics and Business is to provide Czech
and foreign students with higher education of a superior quality in a wide range of managerial, economic and other
degree programs which help the graduates to obtain excellent employment on the international labour market.
Currently, there are about 14,000 students at VSE. The classes taught at VSE are guaranteed and provided by more
than 600 academics and business experts. The VSE systematically develops scientific research activities, including
the preparation of students for their studies of doctoral programs. VSE has partnership arrangements with many
governmental bodies, as well as with non-governmental organisations. The University also cooperates with the
business community. The Department of Didactics of Economics Subjects trains teachers of economics subjects for
upper secondary schools in the whole Czech Republic. It is the oldest department of the University, established in

The University of Novi Sad
(UNS) it is one of the largest educational and research centres in Central Europe. It
offers around 400 accredited study programs at the level of Bachelor, Master, Specialist and Doctoral studies,
carried out at its Faculties and Centres for Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies. The University has
more than 50,000 students and 5,000 employees. It has a well-developed research infrastructure and great potential
for innovation. Of special significance to the strengthening of innovativeness is the Technology Park of the

on numerous bilateral and multilateral agreements. The Faculty of Sciences is an educational and scientific
institution providing students with the highest academic standards in teaching more than 50 accredited study
programs and scientific research activities.

Eszterházy Károly
University in Eger (EKU), originally founded as the College of Theology by Bishop Károly
Eszterházy of Eger in 1774, is one of the foremost higher education institutions in Hungary, located in Eger. The
university has also branch campuses in the following locations: Jászberényi, Sárospatak, and Gyöngyös. Eszterházy
Károly University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees (bachelor,
master and PhD) in several fields of study. The University is currently serving a student population of nearly
6,000. The Faculty of Education has four institutes: Institute of Psychology, Institute of Pedagogy and Institute
of Special Education and from the year 2020 Institute of Pre-primary and Primary Education. The Faculty is
offering the PhD study course in Education, also belongs to the Faculty. The philosophy of the departments
represents the unity of theory and
practice in education. The courses of the educational programmes cover most areas of education science. Bachelor's
and master's courses are taught in consecutive cycles, in the form of divided training, or in cases specified by
law in the form of undivided, one-tier training. The number of full-time and part-time employees of the Faculty of
Education is 75. Number of full-time and part-time students of the Faculty is 2396.
