THE FOURTH TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING (TPM4)

The project meeting was attended by all project partners in person: for UKF in Nitra, the project coordinator
(prof. Zdenka Gadušová) and 2 other co-researchers, for the event organizer, JSU in Komárno (SK), local project
coordinator, doc. Kinga Horváth and 6 other co-researchers, for OU in Ostrava (CZ) Dr. Slavomira Klimszová,
deputy of the local project coordinator, prof. Eva Malá, and 1 other co-researcher, for the University of
Economics and Business in Prague (CZ), local project coordinator, prof. Libor Pavera and 1 other co-researcher,
local project coordinator for K. Eszterhazy Catholic University in Eger (HU), assoc. prof. Zsolt Mogyorósi and 1
other co-researcher and for the partner from Serbia (University of Novi Sad) - local coordinator, Dr. Branka
Radulovič and 1 other co-researcher.
The wide participation of project representatives from the partner institutions was welcomed, as it was the
first fully face-to-face meeting of the project partners.
The aim of the meeting of the project partners was to evaluate the preparation of translations and publication
of educational materials for mentors (Mentor Training Materials) in the national languages of the partners
(Slovak, Czech, Hungarian and Serbian). Despite the fact that the print publication of these materials was not
planned in the project, for strategic reasons, the project partners decided not only to publish the translations
of the materials into national languages on the project website, but also to publish them in print form. At the
meeting in Komárno, 2 textbooks (Slovak and Serbian) were already presented, and the Hungarian and Czech ones
were in the process of being translated. An important part of the meeting was the preparation of short-term
trainings (courses) for university methodologists, who will then train mentors within teacher training CPD
courses. The first such course (C1) - Czech and Slovak, will take place on 6-9 September 2022 in Lednice (CZ),
which will be attended by 31 participants. Another one - Hungarian and Serbian course (C2), will be organized by
the Hungarian project partner in Eger (HU).
The two-day meeting of the project participants was opened by Kinga Horváth, the dean of the Faculty of
Education of JSU in Komarno, and Katarína Szarka, vice-dean of the FE JSU, who had an introductory presentation
about JSU in Komárno.

Presentations and discussion to them
- The translation of educational materials from English into the national languages of the partners was
time-consuming and professionally demanding, the terminology in the English version of the materials was not
unified. Nevertheless, 2 national language variants of the textbook were presented at the meeting in a book
form and the other two in their work-in-progress form.
- Regarding the selection of materials for training mentors, the opinions of representatives of partners from
different universities and countries differed. Emphasis was placed on the fact that each course must be based
on an analysis of the needs of the course participants. In this regard, demands were also made for the
education of those who will implement the mentors' continuing professional development (CPD) courses, i.e. to
take into account the expressed and unexpressed needs of future mentors.
- The presentations of prof. Pavera and Dr. Radulovič about the E1 and E2 events in Prague and Novi Sad were
very positively evaluated by the partners. Both the presenters were pleasantly surprised by the interest of
the participating teachers in the developed educational materials and in the courses during which these
materials will be used. All participants showed great interest in further education of this type.
Budget and interim reports
The project coordinator thanked all the project partners for delivering interim reports. In their reports, all
partners sufficiently clearly and objectively described the administrative and professional work associated with
the implementation of project activities and the development of the O2 output in English and national languages.
Regarding the financial reports, not all project partners delivered the required documents as the project
coordinator expected, but after additional explanation they fulfilled this task as needed for the development of
the interim report that the project coordinator wrote and submitted to National Erasmus+ Office at the beginning
of March 2022, so by the date of TPM4, the report was already approved by NO.
Findings from monitoring activities
The monitoring team conducted two questionnaire surveys of the project activities, the data analysis of which was
presented by members of the monitoring team - prof. Libor Pavera and Dr. Branka Radulović.
Deadlines and other activities
Deadlines:
- Completion of the translation of educational materials into Hungarian and Czech and the publication of
textbooks in Hungarian and Czech - by the end of June 2022
- Carrying out the fourth multiplier event (E4) for mentor-teachers in Eger (HU) - responsible partner EKCU in
Eger, by June 30, 2022
- Preparation and carrying out the C1 training event for mentor trainers in Lednice on 6-9 September 2022
- The next transnational project meeting (TPM5) to evaluate the training of mentor trainers event in Lednice
will take place in October 2022 (the exact date has not yet been determined).
